Loved the location, loved you couldn't hear noise from pub, loved that my friends room was connected and that we could open our doors and share our space but could also be completely separated and lock our doors too. Love we were so close to the beach and a big choice of restaurants and still close to the city. Really nice standard of room. It met and was above my expectations for a 4 star hotel. no complaints at all!
the big room & balcony
We arrived early due to our flights, and intended to just leave our bags until we could check in but they were able to check us in straight away. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great with the beach and great places to eat just around the corner.
Perfect location for us, and a good rate. Stayed in a Boutique District Kitchen room... Quiet, comortable and accommodated our family of five (3 little kids)
For europeans the breakfast could be more for the price. Eggs, Saussages and so on. Also the air-blower was very loud.
The breakfast was not good. No hot food like Eggs or Saussages. The breakfast was similar to the breakfast in a hostel or a little bit better.
The rooms are large, well appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen area is more than adequate (you could cook a 3-course meal), the bathroom is large and clean, and there is adequate wardrobe space for a couple. I have stayed there twice now, and would go back again.
The room service menu finishes as 9:30pm and the local restaurants tend to close at 10pm, so this is not a location for late night dining.
The location is excellent. 20Yards frontier beach and on the main road for restaurants in the area
The price of the accommodation is crazy for the quality your getting. You pay 200euro a night for a hostel type room, the cheapest room. The bathroom are old and look filthy, but are not. We paid 75dollars more for an upgrade that was much better. The prices are crazy. The receptionist with brown hair and glasses is the most ignorant and rude person I have met. The security staff are aggressive, argumentative, unapproachable, completely rude and arrogant. I would not recommend for anyone to stay there.
Brilliant choice - everything about our experience at the hotel was fabulous, from booking to leaving. Would definitely recommend and will stay again
The hotel is very quiet and close to city at a much more reasonable price than in the city. We have stayed there many times before.
Location close to our place of business
dining area. All bar areas extremely noisy.
The concierge was just lovely!!
The beer garden was a little noisy.
Brought back memories of a 'misspent youth' 50 years ago! Convenience to beach, shops, transport and walking paths
A very "ordinary" continental breakfast in the bar was not so pleasant. Had to ask for bird droppings to be wiped off the high chair. It was cold, windy and draughty! A boutique hotel could offer a more boutique breakfast atmosphere - or leave breakfast in the room!
We arrived at 19.30 and flew out the next afternoon. We were two couples, my husband and I and our daughter and husband. We enjoyed our stay and would think of coming back and stay for a week. Our room was perfect and we experienced no noise from the beer garden. (It was a public holiday weekend in Australia>)
Comfortable and close to conference I was attending.
